چکیده

This paper defines a new proofand category-theoretic framework for classical linear logic that separates reasoning into one linear regime and two persistent regimes corresponding to ! and ?. The resulting linear/producer/consumer (LPC) logic puts the three classes of propositions on the same semantic footing, following Benton’s linear/non-linear formulation of intuitionistic linear logic. Semantically, LPC corresponds to a system of three categories connected by adjunctions reflecting the linear/producer/consumer structure. The paper’s metatheoretic results include admissibility theorems for the cut and duality rules, and a translation of the LPC logic into category theory. The work also presents several concrete instances of the LPC model.

A Non-linear Integer Bi-level Programming Model for Competitive Facility Location of Distribution Centers

The facility location problem is a strategic decision-making for a supply chain, which determines the profitability and sustainability of its components. This paper deals with a scenario where two supply chains, consisting of a producer, a number of distribution centers and several retailers provided with similar products, compete to maintain their market shares by opening new distribution cent...

Modeling and Forecasting Effects of Crude Oil Price Changes on the US and UK GDP

This paper proposes a new forecasting model for investigating relationship between the price of crude oil, as an important energy source and GDP of the US, as the largest oil consumer, and the UK, as the oil producer. GMDH neural network and MLFF neural network approaches, which are both non-linear models, are employed to forecast GDP responses to the oil price changes. The resul...

A New Optimization Model for Designing Acceptance Sampling Plan Based on Run Length of Conforming Items

The purpose of this article is to present an optimization model for designing an acceptance sampling plan based on cumulative sum of run length of conforming items. The objective is to minimize the total loss including both the producer and consumer losses. The concept of minimum angle method is applied to consider producer and consumer risks in the optimization model. Also the average number o...

Group Theory and Linguistic Processing

There is currently much interest in bringing together the tradition of categorial grammar, and especially the Lambek calculus (Lambek, 1958), with the more recent paradigm of linear logic (Girard, 1987) to which it has strong ties. One active research area concerns the design of non-commutative versions of linear logic (Abrusci, 1991; Rdtor6, 1993) which can be sensitive to word order while ret...

A new model of (I+S)-type preconditioner for system of linear equations

In this paper, we design a new model of preconditioner for systems of linear equations. The convergence properties of the proposed methods have been analyzed and compared with the classical methods. Numerical experiments of convection-diffusion equations show a good im- provement on the convergence, and show that the convergence rates of proposed methods are superior to the other modified itera...
